Less Than Perfect - Part 1

It was recess time, most of the students were either busy eating, playing or chatting among themselves. Adele, however, was alone at her usual hideout - a corner behind the school hall, sobbing away. She had been teased again during PE lesson earlier on. She had tripped herself while running across the basketball court and her classmates burst out laughing. The boys even commented that the clumsy bear had fallen. She had thought that her secondary classmates wouldn't be as childish as her primary classmates and wouldn't make fun of her awkward movement but she was very wrong. It seemed that they were just as insensate with their laughter and remarks.

Adele had hated PE lessons since primary school - since primary 5 to be precise. That was the year when her puberty commenced and somehow she ballooned. Not only did she become flabbier, she was also wearing C cup bra by the end of that year. Since then, she had become very conscious of her appearance and would find whatever excuses she could think of so as not to change into her PE attire. Then during those times when she could not be excused, she would avoid running as far as possible. They would poke fun at her upper torso and even cast unkind remarks. Thus, Adele's eyes would usually become teary at the end of the lesson. Though her teacher had warned them against making fun of her sluggish movement, they would continue to do so in the absence of the teachers. The gals in class, instead of being sympathetic, treated her like a weirdo because of her 'extraordinary assets'. Fortunately, there was one gal who would stand up for Adele and would not hesitate to 'bark' at whoever teased her. She was Adele's only best friend - Xiaoxue.

Xiaoxue would always be there to console Adele whenever the others bullied her. She would reassure her that there wasn't anything wrong with her and that she shouldn't be ashamed of the way she looked but rather she should be proud of what she was born with. Adele was grateful to have such an understanding friend and in return would try to help Xiaoxue in whatever ways she could. Soon, the friendship between them bloomed into sisterhood, with Xiaoxue becoming the elder sister since she was older by 3 months. They would share everything including their secrets with each other and would stand united against anybody who dared to mess with them - one had the voice while the other had the size. In fact, they were spending so much of their free time together that they soon became inseparable. However, they were eventually separated when ...................................................
